As we drove up to The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park we were taken by the beauty of the rustic barn, bejeweled by glimmering stained glass windows. As Denver wedding photographers, we see many rustic venues as well as many sophisticated ones. But this one had it all. The Irving duo grinned at each other as we packed up our gear for a day of what we knew would be photography bliss.
And – I just love to say this – we were right! Every detail was stunning. Courtney looked like a boho barbie in her Wtoo gown. Her look was perfectly polished, thanks to Blush Artistry (makeup) and Ashley Zerfoss (hair). The ceremony had the rustic-chic barn as backdrop and the Colorado sun as lighting. The floral arrangements by A Design Resource looked like blushing Rocky Mountain wildflowers who had dressed to the nines for Courtney and Evan’s big day. And the couple’s boho-elegance was exemplified in the eclectic collection of ivory chairs from Charming Chairs and locally inspired four-course meal from Catering by Design.
Bello and Blue Events captured the couple’s vision flawlessly, while The Wash Park Funk Band kept the party going with their lively tunes… also highlighting Evan’s smooth moves (perhaps Michael with Films About Love even documented a “Timberlake” or two)! MK mint designed a lovely and decidedly Colorado rustic-chic invitation suite. Peak beverage expertly crafted signature drinks encompassing Evan and Courtney’s favorite spirits and Gatauex Pastries seamlessly married elegance and heirloom with their naked floral cake. Catering by design closed out the night with gooey s’mores and satisfying late-night snacks.
Courtney and Evan are sure to enjoy every moment of married life, just as they did at their wedding. Not a moment of sentiment nor fun were lost on these two. They have simply mastered balance – style and fun, rustic and chic, sweetness and wittiness, laughter and care; they are plainly the perfect pair.
