Alex & Lyndsay’s love story has been nothing short of epic Colorado romance. The two met at A Taste of Colorado and enjoy hiking 14ers, skiing, camping, and road cycling. When it came to proposing, Alex took their centennial state love story to the next level, “We planned to go cross country skiing at Brainard Lake outside of Boulder on February 20th with another couple. This was the first place we ever XC skied, and we both fell in love with it. We were having a great morning, even though we were moving slowly because of our 35-year old skis. At one point during the morning, Lyndsay said to Alex “even though we are going slow and our skis are terrible, I’m still having a really great time just being with you”. When we got to the end of the trail, we were at a beautiful frozen lake in the middle of the Rockies. It couldn’t have been more perfect.. The friends we were with asked if we wanted them to take our photo in front of the lake. At which point, Alex told me how much he loves me and wants to spend the rest of his life with me. He got down on one knee (dropped the ring in the snow!) and proposed. Of course I said yes! (well, technically I kept asking “is this for real!? Are you serious?!” Is this really happening??! until Alex implored me to please give him an answer….. so eventually I said yes).”
Lyndsay & Alex’s charming Rocky Mountain summer wedding dazzled with both soft and bright details. Lyndsay’s Calla Blanche gown intertwined modern and classic, just like these lovebirds’ big day! These two combined Colorado nature, contemporary aesthetic, and classic taste to create a stunning event for their closest family and friends. But, what really set the scene were the looks on Lyndsay’s and Alex’s faces throughout the evening. They were so clearly in love – so overjoyed at tieing the knot, the feeling permeated the entire event. And, as an extra treat, Alex teamed up with his brother and some college friends to sing a Lyndsay a song!
