I am so happy to be writing this blog. It has been almost a year since Mathew and I got married and I was finally able to have the best wedding photographer in Denver (Mathew, of course) photograph me in my wedding dress. Our wedding was on September 1, 2013 at the Grant Humphrey’s Mansion. It was a rainy day and we were planning an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. I had accepted the fact that we may have to move the wedding inside, but just as our guests began to arrive, I looked out the Mansion’s bridal suite window to see the sun peaking through the clouds. By the time I walked down the isle, with my mother on my right and my father on my left, warm golden sunlight was filtering through the trees. I looked up the isle to see Mathew’s smiling face (there may have been a tear or two in his eyes), and our dazzling bridal party beaming at me. Our wedding was exquisite, from the blushed peach accents to the twinkling patio at dusk. Our big day was a perfect reflection of us as a couple. That’s not to say that nothing went wrong… because of course, things went wrong. But, it was perfect all the same.
Now, almost a year later, I was excited to don my bridal attire and pose for Mathew’s unique version of Colorado wedding photography. My gown, a gorgeous silk taffeta piece by Justin Alexander was bliss to slip back into! I can’t thank the DTC’s Bridal Collection enough for helping me select the perfect dress. Our florist at Pretty Petals in Littleton even agreed to recreate my bouquet and a centerpiece for the occasion! I’ve never felt so beautiful. Mathew posed me flawlessly and captured me in a way no one ever has. When I saw the final product, I was blown away. I know I have never before looked so beautiful in a photograph. His luminous, romantic, and whimsical shots made me feel like a bride all over again. A year later, I find only delight in the thought that get to- not only enjoy – but also document life and love with this wonderful man.
