“We want our guests to feel laid back and to just have a good time!” This was one of the very first things Michelle and Dan told us and the sentiment blanketed every single thing on their beautiful wedding day. Smiles and laughter overtook the senses at every turn… but it could just be because Dan and Michelle are sweet, light-hearted, and so very in love! The bride and groom invited only their closest family and friends and couldn’t contain their excitement at sharing this amazing moment with the people they love most. “We love those candid moments that display people’s joy and happiness. We love to look at photos and feel like we are back in that moment.”
Planned by Taylor with Party Girl Events, the day began at the storybook-perfect Chapel at Beaver Creek, where the newlyweds added their initials to the many before them on a stately aspen tree. Michelle surprised Dan with a handsome watch with a tag reading, “See you at 3:30… I’ll be the one in white”. The back of the watch was engraved with, “Until the end of time”. Meanwhile, Dan gifted Michelle with glistening stud earrings – these two are true romantics! Once at the Donovan Pavilion reception site, guests were invited to leave “wishes in a bottle” which would be opened during their marriage milestones. What a sweet surprise to have waiting for years to come!
The two wanted a romantic, whimsical garden themed wedding with a light and airy atmosphere. The sweeping window scene at the Pavilion was the perfect compliment to the whimsical arrangements by The Perfect Petal. Creams, blues, golds and greenery decked the space in garden glam, while aspen branch accents added the perfect mountain touch to the decor. Their strawberries and cream wedding cake by Sam Keith Cakes displayed precious golden lovebirds along with Dan and Michelle’s signature greenery.
