Lisa & Ken’s Grant Humphreys Mansion Wedding
Lisa and Ken had a beautiful Grant Humphreys Mansion Wedding on a Colorado spring day. Mathew and I have special places in our hearts for this historic location, as we were married on its ivory steps almost two years ago. Returning to the elegant apricot estate conjured nostalgia – recalled memories of our “first kiss”, our “first dance”. So, we spent our early arrival walking the grounds and reminiscing. Upon Lisa’s entrance to the mansion, however, we knew it was time to channel our memories into documenting new ones for our happy couple.
Lisa decked The Grant Humphreys Mansion in navy and gold, amplifying the grand look of the venue with tasteful adornments. Her bridesmaids looked ravishing in sapphire Carolina Herrera and Catherine gowns and Lisa herself glowed in her Sottero fit and flare. The groom and groomsmen looked very handsome themselves in classic tuxedos. Not one visual detail was overlooked at Lisa and Ken’s wedding.
Despite this couple’s impeccable focus on the aesthetics of their day, it was the love and happiness that stole the limelight. Lisa and Ken began the day by exchanging gifts. Ken, a tasteful man, selected navy earrings to match Lisa’s gorgeous ring, while Lisa gifted a handmade blanket… one she had been working on for years. Their tear-filled and touching ceremony set the scene for their warm yet lively reception. Ken, one of our sweetest grooms EVER, put together a gift – that if thoughtfulness could be materialized, would have been it – for delivery as guests were dining. He had collected video messages from would-be attendees unable to attend the festivities. Lisa (and everyone else in the room) was touched beyond words.
The Grant Humphreys Mansion will always play host to one of our most cherished memories, and now we have even more beautiful memories to add to our fond recollections of the Denver landmark. But more importantly, we were able to paint a photographic picture of Lisa and Ken’s lovely day; their “first kiss”, their “first dance”, and so much more.
