Kursten and Charles- Estes Park Wedding
October in Estes Park, Colorado is a lovely time indeed. The air has a brisk chill, without the mountain freeze characteristic of a mountain summer, nor the harsh sun of a Rocky Mountain summer. Yes, Charles and Kursten chose their wedding date and location quite well. The venue was perfect, the weather was perfect, and the bride and groom were perfect. An added bonus was the bugling elk… who seemed to quiet down just for this couple’s ceremony. They’re very polite animals!
This Estes Park wedding provided us with many picture perfect moments. From Kursten’s getting ready shots in a rustic-chic cabin, to Charles’s handmade brew, to lovely lakeside shots of the couple, we couldn’t have asked for much more. This athletic and adventurous couple just begged for an outdoor location like this one. In fact, they woke up that morning to pre-wedding 5k run!
Given this couple’s carefree demeanor, their first look and ceremony locations came at no surprise. Kursten and Charles are highlighted best by organic splendor. They also had some of the best vegetarian fare we have had the pleasure of eating all season! Mathew loves his steak and all, but as a vegetarian, I (Ariel) much like Charles – truly appreciate a fresh vegetable dish or a flavorful quinoa cake.
However, one of the day’s most memorable moments came when Kursten and Charles literally tied the knot; yes, they used rope – and teamwork – to tie a lovely little knot during their sweet ceremony. Not even the vocal elk could continue their impassioned droning with this adorable couple literally tying the knot nearby.
