Katie and Matt: Colorado Engagement Pictures
Traveling to Estes Park always makes me nostalgic. As a child, my family and I would take day trips to see the bugling elk and plan weekend stays to hike the national park or stroll through downtown. And for some reason, we always stopped to get fudge. For Colorado engagement photos, what better location than Estes Park?. Yes, what was once a weekend away from the grind is now “a day at the office”. I know… it’s completely amazing. We may not have stopped for fudge, but we were able to take in the beauty of this Rocky Mountain town just like when I was little – we even saw elk.
Katie and Matt are planning their winter wedding at Mary’s Lake Lodge and Resort in Estes Park. This is where we took their engagement photos as well – and it is beautiful! This thoughtful couple wanted to select a venue that would dually serve as wedding location and vacation spot for all of their guests. The January mountain wedding will certainly be a wintery getaway for all in attendance; guests will peer out of their windows to see Mary’s Lake dusted in glittering snow and trees frosted in white. Families can go snowshoeing, sledding, or even drive up the mountain a bit for a day on the slopes. We know this destination wedding will be everything Katie and Matt have dreamed of, both for the guests and the couple themselves.
Katie and Matt met through a mutual friend and love to walk, bike, and eat. Matt has a superb sense of humor and kept Katie laughing through the entire shoot. These fiancés are playful and down to earth… we can’t wait for their January nuptials. All of their guests will get to enjoy the beauty and charm of Estes Park, just like most Coloradans do as they grow up at the foot of The Rocky Mountains.
