Ali & Gavin’s Denver Engagement Photography
The location of this engagement session was a no-brainer. With Gavin running an elite Downtown Denver restaurant and Ali’s sophisticated taste, the city was the clear winner. And any good Denver engagement session starts at Commons Park, right? The green expanse bustled on this unseasonably warm February day. Despite the crowd, Ali and Gavin saw only each other. Their stroll through the more foliaged parts of Denver was a lovely warm up to our concrete adventure.
Denver engagement photography is as unpredictable as it is enjoyable. While taking pictures by the Platte River, we were serenaded by a decidedly off-key singer. This only made for some even more playful snapshots! We headed over the Millennium Bridge to grab a drink at Gavin’s place of work. This was an extremely intimate moment as our couple met and fell in love here. Ali and Gavin reminisced over a cocktail… the perfect opportunity to capture Ali’s gorgeous ring and this couple’s sweet romance.
As the sun turned from shining white to glowing gold, we headed toward Denver’s timeless Union Station. We, of course, had to grab another drink at their breathtaking balcony bar – The Cooper Lounge. This swanky 40s style lounge was the perfect backdrop for this couple’s love. And after seeing the beauty of this spot, we immediately made plans to return and use it as venue to our own romance!
As the sun sunk behind the Rockies, creating a warmth only seen at this time of evening, we headed to the Wynkoop Footbridge. And what better place to share a romantic dance than a footbrindge? Well, we thought this very thing and captured some of the sweetest photographs of the evening. It didn’t hurt that these two have some moves! We closed our engagement session at the ice skating rink below Lannie’s Clock Tower. The snaking twinkle lights highlighted this gorgeous couple like no other scene of the day had. The perfect end to our Downtown Day.
